XBRL expert and specification author since 1999, Hugh Wallis is currently responsible for IBM's XBRL related offerings worldwide, in particular Cognos Disclosure Management. He brings a wealth of experience from over 38 years in the software business covering applications from Engineering Analysis, through Transit Scheduling to Activity Modelling and Reporting. He is an author/editor of many of the XBRL specifications and over the years has served in leadership roles on many XBRL International bodies including the International Steering Committee (Vice-Chair) and Specification Working Group (Chair). He has an MA in Mathematics from Oxford University and an MSc in Computer Science from the Imperial College of Science and Technology, University of London.
