Since 1997, Mr. Monterio is Managing Director of Colcomgroup, Inc., a global strategic consulting and marketing services firm based in New York. He advises companies on achieving success, growing market share, opening new markets, developing new revenue streams, driving market adoption, and sourcing strategic partners. He counsels clients in financial services, accountancy and technology sectors in areas of marketing, communications, stakeholder engagement, corporate reporting and disclosure, reporting standards, XBRL, ESG/CSR/sustainability and integrated reporting. Mr. Monterio is a direct member of XBRL International, Inc. (XII) and Vice Chair of its Best Practices Board (BPB), as well as a member of its Taxonomy Architecture Guidance Task Force and Implementation Guidance Task Force. He is a Global Board Member of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) and Vice Chair of the IMA Technology Solutions & Practices Committee (formerly its XBRL Committee). Mr. Monterio is also a Global Board Member of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a member of its Innovation Council. He was co-chair of the SASB XBRL Feasibility Task Force, an Organizational Stakeholder of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and member of the XBRL Taxonomy Working Group of the Carbon Disclosure Project. Mr. Monterio was also previously a commercial and investment banker. He is an Ivy League graduate of Dartmouth College, and an avid traveler and artist.
